Vice Mayor Rex Richardson
City of Long Beach
Vice Mayor Richardson was elected to the Long Beach City Council in 2014 to represent District 9. Since taking office, Vice Mayor Richardson has led North Long Beach on a "Road to the Renaissance," placing a focus on economic and community revitalization. Richardson has worked to shift the culture of city hall by embracing a systemic and collaborative approach to problem solving. In 2016, he championed the creation of the Long Beach Office of Equity, to help address the economic and health disparities affecting Long Beach neighborhoods, and spearheaded a number of innovative initiatives like the Long Beach My Brother’s Keeper Initiative, Participatory Budgeting, and the PATH Young Adult Diversion program.

Frontier Real Estate Investments
Tom Carpenter is the Vice President of Acquisitions and Leasing for Frontier Real Estate Investments. Frontier specializes in infill retail development and is the preferred developer for some of the nation’s top retailers. In his role, Tom is charged with site selection, land acquisition, and entitlements. Frontier currently has over $300 million in real estate under development throughout California.
Prior to his role with Frontier, Tom was a broker at Grubb and Ellis and later at CBRE. He was involved in all aspects of the real estate cycle, including ground-up development, repositioning of older centers, leasing, and investment sales. As a trusted agent and consultant to large shopping center owners and tenants, Tom built his listing portfolio to more than three million square feet. In addition, he helped many national and regional tenants expand their footprint in the Southern California marketplace through comprehensive strategic planning, site identification and evaluation, and lease negotiations. With the success that he had in site identification and the strong reputation he had built with tenants, landlords, and the brokerage community, Tom joined Frontier to direct its acquisitions and leasing department.
Frontier values its relationship with the City of Long Beach. It recently completed the Dunkin’ Donuts at 7th and PCH and is under construction on a Rite Aid, Carl’s Jr., and Chase Bank at the Traffic Circle. Currently, Frontier is working on its entitlements and leasing for their project at the NEC of Atlantic and Artesia in the 9th District.
Yanki Greenspan &
Westland real estate group
Yanki Greenspan has spent his entire career working and growing Westland Real Estate Group. Over the last 12 years, he has been instrumental in the expansion of Westland, including doubling the size of its real estate portfolio as well as moving the company from its original location in a mobile home park to a new state of the art office space in the Wrigley area. Being born and raised in Long Beach, redeveloping local commercial and residential properties is a project that Yanki believes in, as it supports his corporate philosophy of creating family oriented communities that better the city. As President, Yanki continues to position Westland to be at the forefront of the commercial real estate industry.
Manny Bukiet has over nine years of experience working in commercial real estate. In his role as Director of Commercial Leasing, he has worked on over $80 million dollars in commercial real estate deals. Manny’s specialties include commercial leasing as well as property management and lease negotiations. Since 2008, Manny has successfully negotiated of over 600 leases. While at Westland he has worked on the development and redevelopment of numerous commercial properties within Los Angeles County. Most recently Manny worked on the redevelopment of Downey Gateway – Bag Factory, which provided a much-needed economic boost to the area. His redevelopment completely transformed the existing shopping center into a high traffic food court, featuring well-known tenants like Yogurt Land, Round Table Pizza, Waba Fresh Grill, and more. Manny worked with the City to use Downy Gateway to create a “grand entrance” to the City’s downtown area. A resident of Los Angeles County, Manny believes that redevelopment projects like Downey Gateway are an integral part to bettering the community he is a part of.
