Kraig Kojian has served as a member of the Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) staff since October 1996, when he was initially hired as Communications and Events Manager before being promoted to Director of DLBA less than a year later. Now serving as the organization’s President and CEO, he oversees the management of the Downtown’s Property Based Improvement District and Parking Improvement Area, both of which consists of nearly 5,000 stakeholders and an annual budget that exceeds $4.9 million. 

Prior to his tenure at DLBA, Mr. Kojian was employed with the California Angels Baseball Club beginning in 1990 and served as Director of Media Relations before his departure in 1996. He is a graduate of San Diego State University where he earned BA degrees in Political Science and Journalism. Mr. Kojian currently resides in Long Beach with his wife and has two children.

Adam Carrillo is currently the newest team member of the Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA), having been hired as the organization’s Economic Development Manager in 2015. Prior to his arrival at the DLBA, Mr. Carrillo spent over a decade in the competitive advertising industry. Retaining and supporting the entrepreneurial growth of a wide range of business sizes, from small start-up businesses to some of the world’s largest companies including Nestlé, Euro-Pro, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and Tria Beauty, amongst many others.

 

Mr. Carrillo obtained a certification in Economic Development from Fresno State University while he is currently gaining CEcD certification from the International Economic Development Council. He resides in Long Beach with his longtime partner, Lena Gonzalez, and their three sons.
